On November 7, at the 8th China International Import Expo, SGS, the globally recognized testing, inspection and certification organization, officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with GCSTIMES, a leading provider of hotel supplies and integrated solutions.
At the signing ceremony, SGS issued to GCSTIMES the ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gas Verification Statement and the ISO 14068-1 Carbon Neutrality Verification Statement. Notably, this marks SGS China’s first ISO 14068-1 carbon neutrality verification statement presented within the hotel supplies sector, a milestone achievement. The two parties will jointly embark on a new journey to advance full-value-chain carbon reduction practices across the hotel supplies sector.
The collaboration between SGS and GCSTIMES has already delivered substantial progress. GCSTIMES became the pioneer in the industry to establish a closed-loop carbon management system, covering carbon accounting, emissions reduction implementation, and third-party verification. This achievement enables coordinated carbon reduction across both corporate operations and the full product lifecycle, setting a scalable and replicable carbon-neutrality benchmark in hospitality.
Taking this milestone as a new starting point, the two parties will further deepen their strategic cooperation. In the future, they will integrate their respective strengths and resources, with a strategic focus on advancing carbon management, building green supply chains, expanding international certifications, and incubating sustainable innovation.
